Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Forest - Memorial Day Weekend 2017

Big enough to be overwhelming, yet still intimate enough to feel the pulse of time. Come see some of the steepest cliffs, oldest rock, and craggiest spires in North America. Forces of nature and the Gunnison River sculpted this canyon over two million years. The result is a vertical wilderness of rock, water, and sky.

This Memorial Day weekend, I plan on going down to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Forest for some day hikes. I will be bringing my overnight gear as well so if we get lucky to find some good spots, we can hike in and camp. I'm expected to end up at a camp ground though :(

I don't have any particular spots I'd like to check out yet down there. I've been there before and it was beautiful. Also getting some more shots with the new camera. If you have any recommendations, place them in the comments. I look forward to hearing from ya!

Edit: We didn't do much hiking. We really only drove around the canyon and stayed in camp grounds. We did get some fishing done up closer to Denver and I caught my first trout.
