Flying J Ranch 3/5/17
Enjoy a peaceful three-mile loop among old-growth lodgepole pine, ponderosas and Douglas fir. Flying J Ranch is a great place for picnicking in rustic timber shelters, as well as a favorite destination for snowshoeing.

My first hike of 2017 was at Flying J Ranch park near Conifer, CO. It's part of the Jefferson County Open Space program. Small hike roughly 3 miles round trip. The start sure showed how out of shape I was with difficulty breathing but after a bit of hiking, it seemed to get easier and I managed the rest of the hike without issues.
Went on this hike with my buddy Paul, his wife and two kids, and their two dogs. Most of my pictures were of the trees because I liked the layout of the land up there.
I'm looking forward to getting more hikes in this year and I will attempt to do one at least every other weekend if not every weekend!
